At least eight Palestinians were detained on Thursday during raids across occupied East Jerusalem and nearby Qalandia refugee camp, according to local sources.

Israeli police detained four Palestinians after raiding their homes in the Old City, in addition to two others from Mount of Olives and Shufat refugee camp.

A seventh was detained after he was stopped at a police checkpoint in al-Issawiya neighborhood in East Jerusalem.

Israeli forces also arrested another Palestinian from Qalandia refugee camp, north of the city, during an overnight raid of the camp.

In the meantime, Israeli forces raided the offices of Quds News and the Independent Media Center, two media institutions located in Izzariyeh, east of Jerusalem, and confiscated computers and other equipment while vandalizing the offices.
