According to Palestine’s Health Ministry, the number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli army since the very beginning of the “Great March of Return” became 135.
A ministry spokesman, Ashraf al-Qidra, mentioned that more than 15,000 people have been wounded during the protests in addtion to 370 injured people who are in intensive care.
“Those injured are 2,536 children, 1,160 women, 231 medical staff and 175 journalists.”
The Palestinians had begun protests along the Gaza-Israel security fence on 30 March. They demand getting back to their own deliberately taken homes in historical Palestine since 1948 in order to pave the way for the new state of Israel.
The protesters also demand an end to Israel’s blockade imposed on Gaza Strip which deprived 2 million inhabitants of uncountable essential rights.
