An official source in the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” said that a delegation of the movement will arrive at the Egyptian capital (Cairo) on Wednesday, 11th of July.

This came upon the head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service invitation, major general Abbas Kamel.

According to “Quds Press”, Hamas delegation will discuss with the Egyptian intelligence the developments of the Palestinian reconciliation and the ways to lift the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip.

The delegation will also meet with the Major General Kamel on Thursday in an attempt to revive the efforts of internal Palestinian reconciliation “stalled” for several months.

The Palestinian delegation will be headed by Saleh al-Aarouri, deputy head of Hamas’ political bureau, and his colleagues, Musa Abu Marzuq, Izzat al-Rishq, Khalil al-Hayya, Rawhi Mushtahe and Hussam Badran.

It is noteworthy that Egypt invited the two movements “Fatah” and “Hamas” a week ago in order to resume negotiations regarding reconciliation and ending the ongoing division in the Palestinian arena since June 2007.

Furthermore, Musa Abu-Marzuq, a member of Hamas political bureau, said the following on Twitter: “If Hamas wants reconciliation, we either handle the responsibility of everything, or they take care of everything. Yes, Hamas wants reconciliation, but it does reject Fatah’s takeover of the Palestinian political system, the public service, and the Palestinian’s money. We stand with national partnership and reject monopoly.”

Also, Ghazi Hamad, A leader in Hamas movement said:

If negotiations failed in Cairo “including the reconciliation file “, this means it will totally collapse.

The most prominent reason that makes internal reconciliation fail is confidence crisis between Fatah and Hamas.

The Palestinians “including Hamas & Fatah” have been disappointed by the previous useless rounds of reconciliation.
