The United Nations coordinator of the peace process in the Middle East, Nickolay Mladenov, arrived Sunday morning to the Gaza Strip through Beit Hanoun crossing border in northern Gaza Strip. His arrival came after reaching a cease-fire agreement in accordance with the truce agreement in 2014.
Mladenov will hold a press conference this afternoon at Gaza library and is expected to call on Israel and other Palestinian factions to restrain themselves and not to escalate the situation in the Gaza Strip.
Yesterday, the Israeli occupation forces launched a series of raids on the Gaza Strip, killing two children and injuring 15 others. The Palestinian factions responded by firing dozens of rockets at the Israeli towns adjacent to the Gaza Strip.
